This luxury renovation and extension is located in Currumbin. The brief for this project was a complete 4 level luxury makeover plus an additional underground library and removal and rebuild of the roofline. With the clients having travelled quite extensively and they had a very good idea of what they wanted.
This is amazing home has multiple high-end features. Including a complete Smart electrical system throughout. This enabled lighting to become such an integral part of the home plus all window blinds, curtains, air-conditioning, security, irrigation ,gates and more being fully automated and programmed to the day and even season.
The marble in this house is beautiful, and the different locations, laying patterns, profiles and uses is a credit to all involved.
The new library was designed to accommodate the clients many loved books, maps, memorabilia, artwork and souvenirs. With classic ironbark flooring, custom shelving and cabinetry and amazing mood, art and reading lighting when required this is such a special space to be in.
All bedrooms have views and luxury fit-outs but none more than the main bedroom. This room is fitted with custom timber veneer inlay black 2 Pac cabinetry and automated double lined curtains. The entrance to ensuite is via a etched glass sliding door, inside is floor to ceiling slabs of butterflied Calcutta Marble where a block of 14 slabs was used to ensure the veins and images flowed all the way around the room.
The top floor is a mixed media ,games and bar level also with it’s own bedroom and bathroom. The Bar was a design combination of angled Calcutta fronted bar with an Andy Warhol inspired artwork lightbox, fitted out with full bar fridges and cooking appliances and glass shelves with colour changing edges. With state of the art Audio Visual plus any choice of lighting combinations.
A single slab marble floored Italian mirrored walled elevator or a curved marble, Spanish inspired black wrought iron and timber staircase will take you up and down the 4 levels.
A self-contained granny flat or maids quarters takes up approximately half of the bottom level. The property also has Internal parking for 4 vehicles.
Externally the property has sandstone features and walls with timber and stainless facades, this softens but glamorize the imposing house.
City Contracting worked very closely with clients to ensure the property reflected what they visualised. Attention to detail was imperative at every point ensuring quality and consistency throughout the build.
